Stormont Vail Health is a nonprofit integrated health system. It is comprised of Stormont Vail Hospital, a 586-bed acute care hospital, and Cotton O’Neil Clinics, a multi-specialty physician group with more than 260 physicians. Nearly 5,000 employees provide care and support services for patients in the hospital. Stormont is a Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Certified.
The PGY2 Emergency Medicine program consists of a 12-month period of rotations in the ED, MICU, SICU, PICU, and cardiology. Electives are available in ID, preceptorship, and inpatient psychology. Stormont also has a PGY1 residency program with four residents. Opportunities to precept P4 students and PGY1 residents are available. The program is flexible and can adapt to the needs of the resident.
Minimum requirements include completion of PGY1 Residency, letter of intent, academic transcript, curriculum vitae, 3 recommendation letters (prefer one from current RPD or program coordinator), and eligibility for licensure in Kansas. Apply through PhORCAS with a due date of January 2, 2025.
