Job Description - Surgical Tech Certified - Operating Room (240002LW)
Description
Plans and implements direct and indirect care to patients of all ages in the Operating Room. Prepares and maintains aseptic surgical procedures performed in surgery, functioning in a scrub role and part of the OR team. Processes contaminated surgical instruments through cleaning, sterilization, and re-setting the surgical trays using established guidelines, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
Qualifications
- High school graduate, CST preferred
- 3-5 years similar experience in an ASC intraoperative setting, orthopedic/spine experience preferred
- Ability to make sound, reasonable decisions
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptiveness to change
- Ability to identify and calmly handle inherently stressful situations with tact
- Highly organized with the ability to concentrate on many detailed requests
- Ability to develop excellent working relationships with physicians, hospital partners, and ASC staff
