Job Summary
interface rehab, inc. is looking for a caring, dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide quality care to the residents. Under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist, the COTA helps plan and implement patient treatment, coordinate patient discharge, and prepare progress reports and documentation. The COTA will not be expected to perform patient evaluations.

Responsibilities and Duties
Essential Responsibilities and Expectations
- Under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist:
- Determine patients’ treatment needs
- Participate in patient assessment
- Provide patient treatment and services
- Ensure treatment programs meet patients’ needs
- Complete required documentation
- Recommend termination of services if necessary
- Carry out assignments from the Director of Rehabilitation
- Maintain professional relationships with facility personnel
- Submit billing logs timely
- Report facility problems to the supervisor
- Comply with relevant guidelines and procedures
- Comply with safety rules
Additional Responsibilities and Expectations
- Provide training to student interns
- Assume other assigned duties
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Report to work regularly
- Travel as required
- See projects through completion
- Perform physical tasks as required
- Transfer up to 100 lbs.
- Stand/work 80% of an 8-hour shift
- Have visual and hearing acuity
- Operate therapy equipment
Workplace Environment
Primarily working in a skilled nursing facility.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
- Licensed COTA in California
- Valid CPR certification
- Physical examination
- Negative TB test or clear Chest X-ray
- Ability to gather and analyze information
- Time management skills
