Liberty Utilities - Cloud Governance Lead

Purpose
We are seeking an experienced governance professional with cloud computing experience to lead governance of Liberty’s growing cloud computing environment and wider EA governance activities.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing Liberty’s compliance with its cloud governance controls for both Liberty and MSP managed environments. You will chair the Cloud Center of Excellence, working with a range of stakeholders to drive accuracy of the cloud governance controls, compliance with the controls, improvement planning, and reporting on progress.
You will also co-ordinate Liberty’s other EA governance activities such as the Architecture Review Board – you will chair the ARB meetings, assist in preparing project teams for ARB review, and report on ARB KPIs and outcomes.

Accountabilities
- Lead cloud governance activities:
- Lead the management of Liberty’s cloud governance controls through collaboration with cloud architects, cyber security team, and cloud operations teams. Create and update cloud governance controls ranging across cloud costs, architecture, security, availability, and performance.
- Report on alignment to cloud controls and risk reduction activities for both Liberty and Cloud Service Partners managed environments.
- Develop action plans to reduce risks through collaboration with architects, operational teams, and Cloud Service Partners.
- Lead quarterly cloud cost governance reporting. Drive improvement of Cloud cost governance to reduce cloud costs.
- Chair Cloud Center of Excellence meetings - manage agenda, action plans, and reporting.
- Use Governance controls to provide requirements to projects and identify required updates and expansions to governance controls.
- Engage with stakeholders, business owners, and Cyber Security to provide knowledge sharing of cloud governance controls and practices.
- Maintain accountability for cloud governance deliverables.
- Co-ordinate EA governance:
- Chair Architecture Review Board meetings - manage agenda, action plans, and reporting.
Education and Experience
- Strong understanding of cloud services (Azure/AWS/GCP, Azure preferred) and associated technologies.
- Proficient and hands-on experience with governing compliance of Cloud Service Providers (managed service providers).
- Proven experience in IT governance.
- Familiarity and experience with relevant industry frameworks (e.g. NIST 800-53 and/or CSA CCM).
- Project management or similar organizational and coordination skills will be beneficial.
- Azure Fundamentals Certification or equivalent will be beneficial.
- Understanding of Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture concepts (e.g. TOGAF) will be beneficial.
