Pharmacy Manager
Position Summary:
Works with the department director to set overall strategic plans, objectives and policies for the pharmacy. Maintains drug accountability and control processes, establishes effective controlled drug surveillance, and ensures pharmacy operations comply with state/federal law and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Works with the department director to reduce risk and promote safe medication management practice
- Works with the department director to plan and execute budgeted expenditures; monitors budget performance for areas of responsibility
- Works with other departments and staff to ensure safe medication administration and management
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree and 5 years’ experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with Residency and 10 years’ experience OR a Bachelor’s degree and 15 years’ experience required OR Certified Pharmacy Technician and 20 years’ experience required; Master Science of Pharmacy Administration or Masters of Business Administration preferred
- 5 years’ experience in Pharmacy Management in a hospital setting preferred
- Must be licensed and/or License eligible in the state of Idaho. Licensure must be obtained within 60 days of date of hire.

- Typical equipment used in a clinical job
