Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC) is an 89-bed community hospital in Greenfield, MA. Our services include emergency, surgery, cancer, heart and vascular, obstetrics, and more.

SCHEDULE:
- 24 hours a week
- Two 12-hour shifts a week (7A-730P)
- Every other weekend and holiday
- Differential pay for weekends and holidays

QUALIFICATIONS:
- MA Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association BLS CPR
Summary:
Responsible for the provision of basic nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with current BFMC Standards of Care. Administers and monitors therapeutic interventions proficiently. Demonstrates proficiency in applying the nursing process to assigned patients and families. Collaborates with health team members in the provision of care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides age-appropriate care to patients.
- Performs comprehensive nursing assessments and uses professional judgment to obtain selective data.
- Recognizes subtle changes in health status and determines frequency of observation.
- Formulates a detailed plan of care specific to each patient's needs.
- Analyzes the psycho-social impact of illness on individuals and families.
- Implements the individualized plan of care.
- Provides formal and informal teaching relevant to health care needs.
- Effectively implements and revises the discharge plan.
- Establishes ongoing evaluation and modification of patient care interventions.
- Communicates pertinent patient information while maintaining confidentiality.
- Acts as an advocate for patient families.
- Assumes accountability for management of patient care.
- Demonstrates proficiency in applying teaching/learning principles.
- Identifies own professional educational needs.
- Promotes active participation in quality assurance research activities.
Education:
Bachelor of Nursing Degree, Diploma in Nursing: Nursing (Required)
Certifications:
Basic Life Support – American Heart Association, Registered Nurse – State of Massachusetts
