SummaryGreat Bay Kids' Company is looking for Group Leaders and Assistants for all our fall programs.
Group Leaders are responsible for assisting the Site Director in the school age program. The Group Leader is responsible for interacting with children in grades K-5 during our after-school program held, grades 3-5 during our after school care at Lincoln Street School and grades K-2 during our after school care at Main Street School. (Both MSS and LSS are located in Exeter, NH).
These are 3pm-5:30 positions, Monday-Friday or any 2, 3 or 5 days.

- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Ensure a healthy classroom environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
- Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
RequirementsAccording to the NH Child Care Licensing Rules and Regulation a Group Leader in a school age program:
- Shall be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma, and one of the following:
- Experience working with school-age children, totaling 600 hours
- Documentation of at least 3 credits in child development, education, recreation, or other field of study focused on children, awarded by a regionally accredited college or university;
- Documentation that she or he is a certified coach; or
- Documentation from or on file with the department that she or he was qualified and employed as a group leader in a school-age program on or before the adoption of these rules in 2017.

Our early education facilities are located in Exeter, Newmarket, and Portsmouth, NH with school age programs offered in Exeter, Newfields and Portsmouth (Summer only).
