Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a Clinical Director of Outpatient and Child Intensive Services to oversee eight programs, including adult, early childhood, youth outpatient, older adult, intensive on-home, and the Autism and I/DD Counseling Center. The Director will supervise managers, lead strategic initiatives, and oversee clinical services across the division, ensuring that organizational decisions from the Board of Directors and Executive Team are implemented effectively. This role involves developing programs, solving problems, and guiding Clinical Managers to foster professional growth and team success. The Director will also ensure the integration of trauma-informed care and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles. The ideal candidate is an experienced clinical leader who is innovative, solution-focused, organized, and committed to DEI, passionate about community mental health, and knowledgeable about licensing and regulatory standards.

Schedule: This position will work Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and is eligible for a hybrid model that allows for a mix of remote and in-office work, with an expectation of being in person at least 50% of the time and as needed due to scheduled meetings or other agency priorities. This schedule may be adjusted based on training, client, and community needs.
Essential Functions:
- Lead a team of managers or individual contributors, ensuring that they provide focus and direction to their respective teams.
- Recruit, hire, train, support, inspire, and develop leadership skills of Clinical Managers.
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Clinical Managers and ensure appropriate training and continuing education for clinical employees.
- Oversee and monitor quality, compliance, productivity, and financial stability of assigned clinical area.
- Analyze data for the assigned clinical area and use it to communicate and make informed decisions.
- Attend and contribute to leadership meetings and assist with accomplishing agency objectives and goals.
- Actively participate in shaping the culture and successful functioning of the organization.
- Ensure that assigned clinical area works in concert with all other areas and develop programs or services in collaboration with others.
- Connect with the community in meaningful ways that support the organization's overall goals.
- Understand local and state politics and resources as they relate to the assigned clinical programs.
- Complete needed care coordination tasks for their assigned role.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in a license eligible field.
- Five years' experience providing behavioral health services.
- Five years' supervisory/management experience in increasingly responsible capacity.
- Current Colorado Licensure in behavioral health field: Licensed Psychologist (PhD, PsyD), LCSW, LPC or LMFT; OR Licensure in behavioral health field from another state and in process of obtaining Colorado licensure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of theoretical issues related to clinical treatment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and respond to change.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Thorough knowledge of all facets of community mental health, managed care, and social services.
Required Vaccination and TB Test: At AMHR, the health and safety of our clients and staff are our top priorities. All employees are required to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and present a negative TB test result before their first day of work. Medical and religious exemptions can be requested if necessary.
Salary: Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Salary is also based on years of licensure and company equity.
- Licensed Psychologist: $129,341.78 - $154,215.2
- Licensed Therapist: $86,465.81 - $118,321.63
Bilingual Language Differential Pay: Employees will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis, equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate, with a maximum amount of $3,000.00 per calendar year.
