Improving Health Care through Medical Education
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Healthcare Program Administrator to provide programmatic leadership for the hospital’s Graduate Medical Education Department and the Office of Research and Grants.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manages and oversees the scope and function of ARMC's Graduate Medical Education Program and Office of Research and Grants, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and applies knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and certification efforts.
- Provides ongoing education, training, and staff development of regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures that support ARMC's medical students, residents, patients, staff, and employees.
- Compiles and analyzes data for corrective actions; maintains records and reports.
- Supports the Graduate Medical Education Committee.
- Provides operational leadership to medical student programs, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
- Administers implementation of educational and assessment processes; develops and designs curriculum for competencies.
- Oversees budget preparation, prioritization of expenditures, and ensures adequate support for educational needs.
- Analyzes and reports data as required by the ACGME for reviews and develops metrics for monitoring improvements.
- Directs residency coordinators and support staff to ensure program effectiveness and assesses educational needs.
- Identifies and implements best practices in graduate medical education and provides updates to faculty and administration.
- Manages critical data and information for hospital quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
Requirements:
Candidates must meet both of the following:
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience conducting quality management, performance improvement, or related activities within the last five (5) years, with a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a hospital setting.
EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration, Nursing, or a closely related field.
