Overview
M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at the Maplewood Imaging Center located in Maplewood, MN.
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000.
Position details:
1.0 FTE - (80 hours worked per 2 weeks)
Typical schedule is 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week, 10:00AM-8:30PM and one weekend a month.

Responsibilities Job Description
- Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Performs excellent patient care.
- Performs examinations.
- Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
- Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family and other customer needs.
- Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional.

- Verifies patient identification and documentation.
- Connects with and educates patients regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the exam.
- Achieves quality diagnostic images through accurate patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
- Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures.
- Ensures patient data integrity.
- Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures.
- Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes.
- Follows infection control guidelines.
- Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members.
- Responds appropriately to emergent situations.
- Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving.
- Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances.
- Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution.
- Completes all required continuing education to uphold imaging licensure.
- Participates as an active team member.
- Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position.
- Cleans and maintains room and supplies.
- Provides coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high-quality care and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Accurately operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines.
- Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working accurately.
- Maintains a high level of proficiency.
- Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility and participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current before hire date.
Preferred:
- 1 or more years of experience in a related role.
- Additional certifications in Imaging.
