Job Description Summary
Under the direction of a registered nurse, the LPN is responsible for all identified nursing care behaviors within his/her span of control during his/her tour of duty and is accountable to the Charge Nurse and/or designated individual. The LPN participates in the care of a defined patient population, assists with data collection, formulates plans for patient care, and participates in the evaluation of outcomes of nursing actions.

Minimum Training and Education: Graduation from a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program and licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state. One year of LPN experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking (Continuous). Ability to climb stairs (Infrequent). Ability to work indoors (Continuous) and outdoors in temperature extremes (Infrequent). Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted (Infrequent). Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes (Continuous). Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations (Continuous). Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required (Frequent).
