Position: Psychiatry/Mental Health-NP
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will work in a Mental Health | Substance Use Disorders setting providing services for inpatient medication-assisted treatment program and behavioral health patients, as well as in an outpatient setting that focuses on co-occurring disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Perform exams and histories.
- Prescribe medications and clinically indicated follow-up visits.
- Order tests and treatments.
- Consult with the clinical team.
- Provide psychiatric and/or Substance Use Disorder assessments/evaluations.
- Prescribe or recommend medications or other forms of therapeutic and evidence-based treatment.
- Discuss and review the role of anti-craving medications for relapse prevention.
- Request any necessary laboratory studies based on screening or assessment results.
- Provide individual/group treatment and medication management to clients taking psychiatric medications.
- Handle crisis intervention needs.
