We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team.
The day-to-day duties include:
- Carrying out general anaesthetics
- Preparing patients for theatre
- Scrubbing in to assist with Laparoscopic, Orthopaedic and Spinal referrals
- Providing gold standard inpatient care
- Laboratory work
- Assisting with dispensing of medications
- Assisting with radiographs
- Cleaning and sterilising of surgical equipment
- Helping to support any students who are part of the team
This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, for a 40-hour week. Shifts can be spread across either 4 or 5 days, either 8am-7pm for 4 days a week or 8am-5pm and 10am-7pm alternating weeks for a 5 day week. There is a 1 in 8 Saturday morning shift with no other OOH shifts. The salary for this role will be up to £31,000 depending on experience.
They have all up-to-date equipment including multiparameter machines, DR X-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, laparoscopic spay equipment, rhinoscopy, endoscopy and arthroscopy equipment, K-laser and an EO Steriliser. The team consists of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 2 Veterinary Care Assistants and 3 Receptionists. They have 1 Vet who is a Surgical certificate holder and 1 Vet who is an Advanced Practitioner, has a certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics and also specialises in Spinal surgery and Regenerative Medicine.
