Location
Our client has two locations just 15 minutes from each other in Hampshire and Gilbert, Illinois. Located in the northwest corner of Kane County with direct access to the I-90 corridor, Hampshire provides easy access to Chicago and Rockford. The community offers residents a suburban and rural mix with excellent school systems. With a variety of attractions, you’ll find plenty of activities to keep you and your family entertained on your days off.
Practice Overview
Our client owns a small animal, general practice that recognizes the importance of every patient and their family's needs. For their brand new building at the Gilbert location, they received a Merit Award for the DVM360 hospital design competition. They have a full surgical and dental suite, ultrasound and laser therapy, and an in-house laboratory. They are dedicated to ensuring their Associates have the time they need to provide the best care, which is why they offer 40-minute appointments. They believe in loving vet med and ensuring you have the time you need to love your personal life too. You will be relieved to know that there won’t be on-call, overnight, or holiday requirements on their team allowing you to plan for life outside of work. What You’ll Be Working On
- Perform general wellness exams and surgeries
- Fully work-up and treat a broad range of small animal cases
- Build lasting relationships with the team and your clients
- Educate clients and staff on treatment options and recommendations
- Maintain a positive, collaborative work environment
- Stay up-to-date with medical information and changes within veterinary medicine
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required
- Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Illinois
- Two years of experience is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Availability to work one evening per week (until 7pm) and every other Saturday morning (8-12pm)
- Surgical experience or interest to learn preferred but not required
- Highly motivated, with a desire to learn and grow
- Has a passion for teaching and supporting others
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated compassion for patients and clients
- Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
