Summary
Under the broad direction of the Radiation Oncologists the Radiation Therapist will perform:
Patient treatments, machine warm ups, calculations, simulations, radiation safety and meet all of the continuing education to maintain Florida licensure.
- Will perform patient treatments, machine warm ups, calculations, simulations and radiation safety.
- Will perform treatments on varying age levels.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Will be Registered in the state of Florida.
- Has previous Radiation Therapy experience.
Responsibilities:
- Uses the information provided by simulation, dosimetry and Radiation Oncologists to consistently and accurately set up patients for daily treatments.
- Be aware of radiation safety policies as they relate to the operation of the equipment and protection of the patient.
Credentials and Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiation Therapy Program or equivalent is required.
- Certified or Registered by the state of Florida required.
- 3 years of experience preferred.
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
- Clear verbal and written communication skills required.
- Seek to improve skills by attending continuing education programs and seminars.
