A Brief Overview:
The CT Technologist is responsible for providing courteous and professional delivery of CT technical procedures/exams to all incoming patients, operating radiologic equipment, and for all paperwork associated with technical procedures.
Experience Qualifications:
- 1 year CT Experience. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications:
- Radiography - ARRT Required
- Licensed Radiology Technologist (LRT) - KSBHA Required
- Advanced Registry in CT is preferred.
- Basic Life Support - BLS Required within 90 days of hire.
What you will do:
- Perform diagnostic computed tomography procedures utilizing a pressure injector and administering contrast under supervision.
- Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic computed tomography procedures. Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.
- Determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
- Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
- Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
- Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed. Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed.
- Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Assists radiologist in examinations.
- Measures and mixes contrast media for oral consumption.
- Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.
- Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.
- Performs office work including, but not limited to, answering phone, obtaining information from computer, and ordering departmental supplies.
- Performs venipuncture for injections.
- Call is a requirement of this position.
