About this position
The transport RN provides quality nursing care, treatment, and stabilization of critically ill patients, in conjunction with fellow team members, during transport. The transport RN will oversee all aspects of patient care during transport, and is responsible for organizing, implementing, and coordinating patient care as directed by the Advanced Practice Provider/Neonatologist for the purpose of stabilization of the transfer.
Requirements
Education
Associate's degree in nursing; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Experience
- Internal Applicants
- At minimum of 2 years Level III NICU experience
- At minimum 1 year of Resource (preferred)
- External Applicants
- At minimum 3 years Level III or IV NICU experience
- At minimum 1 year of experience attending deliveries and providing immediate post resuscitative care
Licensure/Certification
• Current licensure and registration as an RN in the State of MN. Current BLS certification for all areas of nursing practice required.
• Current certification required for the following areas of nursing practice:
• Emergency Care Center – ACLS, TNCC, PALS
• Intensive Care Center & MSCC Lead – ACLS
• L&D – NRP, AWHONN's Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course (one time only) - Experienced L&D nurses will obtain within 6 months and new L&D nurses will obtain at 1 year of experience
• NICU– NRP, STABLE (one time)
• PCC/PACU/ENDO – ACLS, PALS
