Nemours is seeking a CT Technologist (CASUAL/PRN) to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Orlando, Florida.
Work Schedule: Shifts could include days, evenings, overnights, weekdays and weekends.

The Radiologic Technologist will perform x-ray procedures including fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of a physician with established methods and procedures. They are responsible for patient care and the proper operation of all general diagnostic equipment. In addition, the technologist will perform Computerized Tomography imaging studies while providing a quality health care service that includes total patient care in a comfortable, friendly environment. Excellent communication skills are essential to this position due to required continuous interaction with public and professional/medical personnel. The radiologic technologist should report to the Medical Imaging Administrative Director, Assistant Director, and/or PACS Administrator / Lead Technologist.
Responsibilities include:
- Participation in departmental and hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations, and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of the Nemours Foundation.
- Working knowledge and operation of a 256 slice Computerized Tomography Scanner and Windows workstation.
- Knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging and computerized tomography imaging protocols, radiation safety, and performing patient examinations as protocolled by designated radiologist.
- Providing accurate room preparation and instructions to patient/family according to the procedure and physically preparing the patient for examination.
- Screening patients for contraindications that may be hazardous to their health or the safety of others, assisting radiologists by evaluating patients and obtaining written screening for the administration of contrast media.
- Maintaining work habits consistent with hospital and department policies, reporting unsafe conditions and incidents to the immediate supervisor.
- Determining proper radiation exposure factors for CT to minimize patient dose according to protocols set by the radiologist.
- Demonstrating the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care for various age groups.
- Assisting in the training of new personnel, students, and physicians.
- Regular attendance and good communication skills are required.
Job Requirements:
- Associate's Degree required from an accredited Radiology program.
- Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year experience required. Pediatric experience preferred.
- ARRT Registered required.
- State of Florida Radiology Technologist License required.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire.
