40 hours weekly, full time, dayshift
Operating Room
A full scope of service is provided with the exception of organ transplants. Service lines available are general, gynecological, urological, orthopedics, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, cardiovascular, thoracic, neurosurgery and cardiac surgery. The OR staff prides itself in providing caring and high-technology patient-focused services. The OR also includes a six-bed inpatient holding room.
Job Summary
Registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient regardless of age (i.e. infancy to geriatric) assigned to his/her care and is responsible for the patient's care within the parameters of the Nursing Practice.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Safety: The patient will be free of signs and symptoms of acquired physical injury by following all safety policies.
- Physiological response to safety: The patient responses to surgery are as expected from the nursing assessment.
- Health Care Environment: The RN has knowledge regarding the healthcare environment and how it impacts the entire system.
- Contributes to the department and to the entire team by taking personal responsibility and accountability.
Requirements:
Active Kentucky License
BCLS Required within 90 days of employment.
