Position Summary:
Reporting to the Emergency Director of Patient Care Services/Shift Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education: Graduation from Nursing School
Minimum Experience/Skills: 1 year ED or 2 years Telemetry preferred
License/Certificates/Credentials: Must remain current at all times: California RN license; ACLS and PALS (New Grad only- within 3 months of hire/transfer), TNCC (New Grad only- within 12 months of hire/transfer). Must obtain National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) education module within 6 months of hire or transfer into unit and must maintain thereafter. ENPC and MICN per clinical ladder requirements. CEN preferred
Physical Demands: Frequent standing/walking. Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs of force. Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. Manual dexterity and mobility. Ability to move quickly.
Vision Requirements: Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to perform position accountabilities.
Working Conditions: Regularly exposed to the risk of contagious and blood borne diseases. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness). Emergency and crisis situations. Subject to irregular hours. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. Occasional exposure to radiation hazards, radioactive substances, and biohazards.

Pay range: $55.84 - $82.75 hourly
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
