The NHHS group consists of 4 FP w/OB providers, 2 general surgeons, 4 physician assistants, a procedural based OB/Gyn., orthopedic surgeon, and a core of 4 ED providers (also FP trained). NHHS's medical staff provides full spectrum rural medicine (birth to end-of-life) working as a clinical team. Our clinic currently uses EPIC and has established a secure fiber optic, physician network accessible to the physicians' homes, allowing for 24 hour access to clinic and hospital patient records. NHHS has been recognized as one of Hospital & Health Networks Most Wired Hospitals on multiple occasions.
As with most rural locations, NHHS cares for a significant population qualifying for Medicare/Medicaid coverage (approximately 65% of our services).
