Overview of the Role:
Join our client as the Director of Cardiac Cath Lab in overseeing and managing clinical and operational activities in a 99-bed acute care hospital located in Palatka, FL. You will lead a team of skilled RNs and Cath Lab Technologists across two cardiac catheterization suites, reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). With a focus on leadership and patient care quality, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that care standards are met through the effective use of resources and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology (EP) clinical services and associated programs.
- Manage staff performance through regular feedback, performance evaluations, and mentoring.
- Optimize departmental resources, such as physical space, equipment, and personnel management.
- Uphold high standards of patient care by ensuring consistent staff training and support.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments, physicians, and services to provide integrated, patient-centered care.
- Oversee administrative duties including budgeting, resource management, and departmental policy development.
- Monitor service quality, staff competency, and equipment maintenance to ensure operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Licensure: Must hold RN, APRN, RCIS, or state-registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) licensure.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of recent supervisory or management experience in a Cath Lab/EP Lab within an acute hospital setting.
- Team Management: Proven experience managing small teams, ideally with call rotation oversight.
