Description
Facilitates the smooth operation of the department by performing a broad range of duties. Responsibilities include:
- Receiving and processing paperwork.
- Maintaining ongoing departmental records.
- Performing exams according to policy while assuring patient safety, comfort, and protection.
- Assisting the radiologist and attending physician.
- Communicating effectively and appropriately.
- Working efficiently and productively.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment by demonstrating proper use and care of equipment.
- Reflecting a caring attitude for patients, visitors, and employees.
- Staying abreast of changes through continuing education programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- On-call shifts required at the discretion of the Radiology Director.
Qualifications
Education: Completion of a two-year Radiologic Technologist Program.
Experience: Three years of experience is preferred. Must be competent in another modality and registry eligible; however, a second registry is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: ARRT registered required. BLS certification required.
