Job Description
Anticipated Vacancy: Speech and Language Pathologist (part-time/hourly)
Reports To: Infant & Toddler Coordinator/Systems Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
SUMMARY:
Provide Speech and Language services to Infants and Toddlers ages birth to three.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reliable attendance and prompt arrival time
- Provide Speech and Language Services for students as directed by the IFSP
- Participate in the development of IFSPs
- Provide services in the child’s natural environment.
- Coordinate with other team members for the purpose of achieving goals.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Masters degree in Speech and Language
- Experience working with Infant and Toddlers is preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write reports and service notes based on the goals of the IFSP.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Licensed by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology
Masters Degree in Speech and Language
Must have Certificate of Clinical Competence
Must complete the Early Intervention training modules prior to providing services.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Per contract and Augusta County Policy Manual
Full time - 200 days, 12 months per year.
EVALUATION:
Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with the school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of personnel.
