PURPOSE: This position is responsible for high-level clinic operations and support for all clinic staff and volunteers. Responsible for ensuring the delivery of clinic services.
STATUS: Part-Time (20 hours/week)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in clinical setting
- Current licensure as RN (preferably with a masters in Public Health) in the state of Georgia
- Minimum 1 year management experience
- Previous experience working with patients facing multiple barriers in a healthcare setting or in a free or charitable clinic
- Previous experience with interprofessional collaboration preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively lead staff
- Excellent knowledge of health care office practices, procedures, and standards
- Ability to take initiative for new responsibilities and projects
- Ability to exercise considerable tact and judgment when working with sensitive and confidential information, familiarity with HIPAA requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle difficult situations in a calm manner
- Basic computer skills
DUTIES:
- Carry out the vision of the clinic and assist in implementing the strategic plan
- Responsible for direct reports and overseeing their performance
- Manage front office clinic operations including oversight of daily client schedule and opening and closing procedures
- Provide direction and oversight for clinic personnel as well as planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of related services
- Collaborate with Executive Director for staff evaluations
- Implement clinic policies and procedures
- Lead the weekly meetings of clinic staff and volunteers
- Assist with patient care as needed and fill in for support staff when they are out
- Oversee all patient education activities
- Maintain adequate volunteer base to cover staffing needs and participates in volunteer orientation and training
- Network with other providers to arrange for services not offered by UCA
- Order office supplies as needed
- Order and enter medications into FlexScan
- Troubleshoot computers, printers, phones
- Answer voicemails, faxes and emails regarding patient questions
- Various other duties as assigned
