Physician Assistant - Medical Affairs - FT 12 hr shifts Flexible Shifts

Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physician Assistant - Medical Affairs - FT Flexible shifts. In this role, the successful candidate will provide quality, professional, cost-effective health care to all patients at LICH. PAs practice medicine under the supervision of a licensed physician, fulfilling a broad range of medical services that would otherwise be provided by the physician.
Job Responsibilities:
- Introduce/identify self as a physician assistant.
- Perform initial assessment/history and physical examination.
- Order and interpret tests/results (lab, radiology, EKG, etc.) based on patient need.
- Document care in the chart in accordance with Hospital policy & procedure.
- Formulate and implement treatment plan.
- Consult with physician when required based on patient's condition.
- Reassess patients.
- Provide emergency medical care including Code 64 management.
- Triage patients (ED only).
- Perform Trauma assessment/reassessment (Trauma Team only).
- Document all pertinent patient information following departmental and Hospital policies.
- Provide patient/family education.
- Complete procedure notes.
- Document follow-up/consultation with physician.
- Complete billing forms fully and submit.
- Write and give discharge instructions (ED only).
- Explain procedures to patient/family.
- Perform procedures following accepted standards of care.
- Assist in surgery (OR credentialed only).
- Demonstrate positive Service Excellence/customer satisfaction.
- Work as a team member in a multidisciplinary manner.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and techniques in the field.
- Participate in performance assessment and improvement studies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of a PA program accredited by The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant or its predecessor.
Current NCCPA certification.
Current New York State license as Registered Physician Assistant.
Current BLS & ACLS documentation.
Current Pediatric Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) documentation.
Requires psychomotor skills to perform examinations and procedures.
Required Licenses: Physician Assistant Lic-NYS, Ntl Com Cert Physician Asst.

The salary range for the role is $126,416.16 - $157,042.08 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
