Blair County Children & Youth Services is actively seeking a Casework Manager 1 to be a part of the administrative team. The County Casework Manager 1 provides supervision for clinical staff, clerical staff, student interns (when applicable) and management of the outpatient program. You will have the opportunity to assign, review, and manage staff’s time and workload. You will be responsible for conducting interviews and making recommendations for selection of staff, evaluating staff performance, approving time off, and providing orientation/training to new staff. Additional duties include monitoring employee performance, making recommendations regarding personnel actions, and supervising professional staff development and training. You will be responsible for assuring that work is performed in accordance with established rules, regulations, licensing requirements, and standard practices of the profession.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Rotate Supervisor Emergency Duty coverage for after-hour calls.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience in public or private social work, which included one year in a public welfare program and one year in a supervisory capacity; and a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
