Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Owosso, MI
Salary: $20.67/hour - $27.91/hour (dependent upon experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
Job Overview:
We are urgently seeking a skilled CT Technologist (RRT) to perform specialized technical duties, including setting up computed tomography equipment, positioning patients, and acquiring diagnostic images of internal body structures. This role is critical for the detection, diagnosis, and evaluation of various pathologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality radiographic images through appropriate positioning and technical factors.
- Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and post-processing equipment.
- Adjust protocols as necessary to meet individual patient needs.
- Critique completed procedures for diagnostic quality and maintain a repeat rate at or below national standards.
- Perform general radiography exams as needed.
- Maintain familiarity with diagnostic imaging terminology and procedures.
- Communicate delays to patients and explain procedures to ensure their comfort.
- Obtain thorough patient histories and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist in research initiatives at the technologist level and stay updated on new imaging procedures.
- Select and set up appropriate equipment based on procedure protocols and standards.
- Evaluate the technical quality of images and manage data related to imaging.
- Independently assist radiologists during invasive procedures, such as biopsies and abscess drainages.
- Position patients accurately and provide age-specific care and education.
- Practice positive patient identification and convey pertinent information to radiologists.

Certification Requirements:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered - Required
- Advanced registry in Computed Tomography (or CT registry eligible). CT Registry eligible candidates must attain CT Registered status with the ARRT within 9 months of accepting the position - Strongly Preferred
- Two-year allied health degree - Required
- Minimum of 2 years of CT experience as an ARRT registered radiologic technologist - Required
