Highland Care Center is currently searching for a talented Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team!

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the highest quality of resident care available, support staff and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on the Eduro HealthCare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results.
Key points to our program:
- Highland Care Center’s M*obile O*utpatient R*ehabilitation E*xtension “M.O.R.E*” program.
- We go to homes, assisted livings, independent livings, apartments, etc. to provide therapy.
- Because of the way we are set up, we are able to see patients based on medical necessity with higher frequency and duration than the traditional home health based therapy programs available.
- We see a variety of people with varying conditions including functional declines, orthopedic, neuromuscular, dementia, and more.

Physical Therapy Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate a Resident’s condition and develop an appropriate physical rehabilitation plan.
- Help Residents to improve their mobility.
- Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
- Inform Residents what they should anticipate in different stages of their recovery and how they will handle each situation.
- Maintain Resident confidence and protect facility operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Contribute to inter-disciplinary team efforts in resident care.

Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements
- Must hold current and active PTA license or registration in state employed.
- Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus!
- Completion of orientation required by company policy.
- Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
- Become familiar with and comply to all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
- Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
