Overview
Executes appropriate patient care by assisting the physicians with diagnostic procedures. Supports team members before, during, and following procedures to assure optimal patient care.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma/GED required.
License, certification and/or registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists eligibility. BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment. ACLS certification is required within 12 months of employment. EKG Competency Testing is required within the first 90 days of employment and annually: (Part 1) Visual identification of 6 Lethal Cardiac Rhythms, passing with a score of 100%; (Part 2) Basic EKG Rhythms written examination, passing with a score of 85% or higher.
Experience: Cardiac catheterization for diagnostic procedures, cardiovascular patient care, radiographic special procedures and/or hemodynamic monitoring experience accepted.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced dynamic work environment related to changing daily work schedules, working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex cardiac disease and maintains absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures. Ability to learn techniques quickly and accurately.
