I. Major Responsibilities:
- Properly performs all diagnostic and fluoroscopic radiologic techniques and examinations in multi-modality imaging areas (Radiology, CT Scan, and/or Mammography), consistent with the age of the patient, within in-patient or outpatient settings, in compliance with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
- Gather pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
- Accurately completes all exams, paperwork, and submits promptly.
- Positions and transfers patients appropriately.
- Assists physicians with interventional exams.
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
- Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered in the special modalities where they are working (CT, Radiology, and/or Mammography) within 1 year.
- Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to produce optimum results.
- Verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with patients and families.
Unless certification, licensure, or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
