SCHEDULE:
- 36 hours a week
- Three 12-hour shifts a week (7P-730A)
- Every other weekend and holiday
- Differential pay for night shift, weekends, and holidays

QUALIFICATIONS:
- MA Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association BLS CPR
Summary:
Responsible for providing primary nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with current BFMC Standards of Care. Administers and monitors therapeutic interventions proficiently. Collaborates with health team members, and patients/families in the provision of care. Acts as an advocate for patients/families/significant others.
Job Description:
- Provides age-appropriate care to patients.
- Performs comprehensive nursing assessments and uses professional judgment to obtain selective data.
- Performs ongoing assessments of assigned patients recognizing subtle changes in health status.
- Formulates detailed, realistic care plans specific to each patient’s identified needs.
- Analyzes the psycho-social impact of illness & hospitalization on individuals and families.
- Implements the individualized plan of care.
- Provides formal and informal teaching relevant to the health care needs of patients.
- Effectively implements and revises the discharge plan.
- Establishes a pattern of ongoing evaluation and modification of patient care interventions.
- Accurately determines the effectiveness of nursing care.
- Communicates pertinent patient information while maintaining confidentiality.
- Acts as an advocate for patient families.
- Manages patient care and provides direct supervision to other health team members.
- Demonstrates proficiency in applying the principles of teaching/learning to patient/family.
- Identifies own professional educational needs.
- Promotes active participation in quality assurance research activities.

Preferred Work Experience:
1) Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
Education:
Bachelor of Nursing Degree, Diploma in Nursing (Required)
Certifications:
Basic Life Support – Other, Registered Nurse – State of Massachusetts
