A Community Hospital in Oregon is searching for a dedicated Nuclear Medical Technologist to join their team and make an impact in the picturesque community that they serve.
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will report up to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and will work in a two-person department overseeing a suite of Radiologic Diagnostic methods, including CT, Ultrasound, MRI, x-ray, and PET scans.
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs nuclear medicine procedures under the direction of a licensed practitioner, demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of the field including assisting with interventional procedures. Most work will be on an outpatient basis, with a focus on Cardiology and general nuclear exam studies. They ensure appropriate technical factors are selected, evaluate image quality, and assist in administering radiopharmaceuticals and other medications as needed. Responsibilities also include maintaining records of radioactive materials in compliance with regulations, and independently performing technical procedures with professionalism and patient care, while upholding radiation safety standards and preserving patient comfort and privacy.
