Job Title: Food Technologist
Responsibilities:
New Product Development:
- Lead the development of new food products, with a focus on innovation and market trends.
- Conduct research to identify new ingredients, formulations, and processes to enhance product quality and taste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of new product initiatives.
Collaboration with R&D Scientists:
- Partner with internal Research and Development scientists to translate conceptual ideas into tangible product prototypes.
- Work closely with the R&D team to address technical challenges and optimize formulations for scale-up production.
Plant-Based Role:
- Play a key role in the development and improvement of plant-based food products.
- Stay updated on plant-based industry trends and incorporate innovative plant-based ingredients into product formulations.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and quality tests to guarantee product excellence.
Process Optimization:
- Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any production-related issues to ensure seamless operations.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of formulations, processes, and test results.
- Prepare regular reports on project progress, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment on product development goals.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and stay informed about industry advancements.
Reporting Structure:
- Report directly to the Plant Manager, providing updates on project timelines, challenges, and successes.
