CT Technologist

Veterans Management Services, Inc. (VMSI) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and we are looking for a highly motivated CT Technologist to join our team supporting our Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) White River Junction VA Medical Center (WRJ VAMC) client. The mission of the VA is to fulfill President Lincoln's promise to care for those who have served in our nation's military and for their families, caregivers, and survivors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CT Technologist will deliver a full spectrum of services to ensure members of the patients care team receive high-quality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments. Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day safe operation of the CT and/or Angio environment.
- Performing radiology procedures/exams utilizing sterile techniques.
- Completing imaging studies within the established guidelines.
- Preparing contrast materials under the direction of the radiologist for the purpose of performing exams requiring injectable or consumable solutions.
- Applying Infection Control practices and procedures for patients and staff, as mandated by the Medical Center and Imaging Service Infection Control policies.
- Receiving and interpreting all radiology requests for accuracy and maintaining knowledge of the ordering process in CPRS.
- Maintains electronic records and files of exams performed on patients.
REQUIREMENTS:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Computed Tomography (CT) certification.
- Must have two (2) years of experience with the understanding of advanced DRT/CT applications.
- Must have knowledge of anatomy and physiology including location, appearance, and functioning of the major and minor systems susceptible to radiographic illumination and knowledge of changes to systems and organs caused by common medical and surgical diseases.
