- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for assigned commodities.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
- Identify gaps within existing supply base and identify new strategic suppliers
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Lead and facilitate quarterly business reviews on strategic suppliers
- Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, commodity price fluctuations, and supply chain issues.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and work with the production team to forecast material needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays and excess inventory.
- Quality and Compliance:
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that purchased materials meet required specifications and standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in procurement activities.
- Cost Management:
- Analyze and report on cost savings and procurement performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to understand material requirements and resolve any supply-related issues.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and product lifecycle management.
- Ability to develop internal/external relationships and compile, curate and present data to influence and inform key decision makers
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and market trends to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency within SAP (or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and market dynamics.

Pay Range: $75,000-$95,000 per year, depending on experience.
