Part Time / Night Shift: Monday-Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist works with Medical Imaging leadership and department medical director to develop operating policies and procedures. He/she is responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional exams and procedures within these established guidelines. The MRI technologist serves as a role model and resource within the department.
Qualifications:
- AA/BA/BS degree through an accredited Radiology program required or have satisfactorily completed a formal military or hospital-based radiology technologist training program
- Must facilitate the direct mailing of an official transcript verifying the successful completion of all courses necessary to satisfy the Structured Education requirements established by the ARRT for postprimary pathway certification in MRI. This requirement is waived if candidate has already obtained the ARRT(MR) advanced registry.
- Must have ARRT(R)(MR) and RT State license upon hire
- Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) is required upon hire. Biannual renewal of RT state license required by DOH and Overlake Hospital, with evidence of same by primary source verification.
- ARRT(MR) advanced registry required within 6 months of employment as a MRI technologist
- Minimum 1 year MRI experience preferred
- Previous hospital experience preferred
