Pay Rate Range: $100,000-115,000 (dependent on experience)

Job Summary
- This position is responsible for providing both primary and specialty medical services. This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to state law.
- This position will be at the Lehi Primary Children’s Hospital site and will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery patients including cleft and craniofacial patients. The APC will be involved in the clinic setting and OR setting.
Responsibilities
- Takes complex medical histories on patients referred for consultation by academic and community physicians.
- Performs physical examinations.
- Orders laboratory tests, x-rays, special imaging studies and other diagnostic procedures.
- May perform procedures in clinic and in the emergency department.
- Reaches tentative diagnosis of medical, surgical and other conditions.
- Develops treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management.
- Participates in continuing medical education to include specialty and sub-specialty meetings, clubs, boards and conferences.
- Assists in the collection of data for research projects.
- Orders consultations and interacts with members of other specialty medical teams.
- Laceration repair and other minor procedures in the ER.
- First assists in the OR.
- See patients independently in clinic.
- Participates in special projects and committee functions.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Current licensure to practice as a Physician’s Assistant from the State of Utah.
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Preferred:
- Certification in ACLS / BLS / NRP / ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging criteria.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
