PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Operational Excellence, Lean & Continuous Improvement, as the Senior Manager, Operational Excellence, Lean & Continuous Improvement, you will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency, quality improvement, and innovation across our semiconductor testing operations. You will lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, implement best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, drawing upon your expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership: Deploy and enable a comprehensive Lean operations strategy aligned with organizational goals, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify critical process improvement areas.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and mentor teams in conducting value stream analyses, kaizen events, 3P events, root cause analyses, and DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), DFSS and Lean methodologies to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance.
- Operational Excellence: Drive excellence in operational metrics including cycle time, throughput, yield, and quality by applying Lean principles such as standardized work, visual factory management, and mistake-proofing techniques.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain to streamline processes and drive operational excellence throughout the organization, ensuring alignment with Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Change Management: Champion a culture of change and innovation, employing tools such as change management plans, stakeholder analyses, and communication strategies to foster buy-in and engagement at all levels of the organization for successful Lean transformations.
- Performance Measurement: Drive Lean events that significantly contribute to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), maintaining a healthy pipeline of short-, mid- and long-term projects to drive safety, quality, productivity, and delivery.
- Training and Development: Provide training and develop employees at all levels in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, tools, and techniques, including facilitating Lean, Green Belt and Black Belt certification programs to build internal capability.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or related field required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing or related industry, with a proven track record of success in leading Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Strong expertise in Lean methodologies such as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), coupled with proficiency in Six Sigma tools including statistical analysis, design of experiments, and control charts.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor cross-functional teams towards achieving operational excellence.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a strong focus on results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of driving successful Lean and Six Sigma transformations and continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $136,200 and $178,815. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
