Job Summary and Qualifications
- Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
- Performs all general diagnostic radiographic procedures and another modality, CT, MRI, Dexa, Mammography, etc.
- Observant of patients’ conditions.
- Practices and enforces radiation safety as described in Federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy. Adheres to all appropriate hospital and regulatory policies and assists in maintaining accreditation.
- Understands and operates electronic information systems.
- Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
- Successfully operates mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment within the department, in the OR, and throughout the hospital.
- Administers contrast media as required.
- Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance their knowledge of diagnostic radiology and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT.
- Takes call after regular hours as assigned.
- Assures primary area is clean and organized. Offers to assist in other areas of the department when not needed in primary area. Performs clerical and transport duties as needed.

What qualifications you will need:
EXPERIENCE
Required - Two years of experience as a Radiology Technician.
Preferred - CT/Ultrasound/Nuclear experience/training strongly preferred.
EDUCATION
Required - Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Preferred - As above, with successful completion of formal computer courses.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Required – AART Registered/Registered in another modality i.e. CT. BLS within 90 days of employment.
Preferred - ARRT (CT) if not CT registered it is required after 60 days of employment.
Hours: Full time, evening shift (rotating weekends)
