Shift: NIGHTS, 36 hour guarantee, 3x12s. Must be willing and able to float to sister facility.
Description: The Clinical Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, effective, quality nursing care according to the Department of Nursing's philosophy and goals. Utilizing Jean Watson's Theory of Caring and Relationship Based Care, the RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for all patients assigned to them. The RN will:
- Assess patient physical and psychosocial conditions and formulate nursing diagnoses.
- Collaborate with clients to develop care plans ensuring safety, comfort, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Perform essential nursing skills and educate clients and families on health needs.
- Evaluate care plan effectiveness and modify as needed.
- Delegate tasks and supervise nursing care provided by the care team.
- Act as an advocate for clients, ensuring informed decision-making regarding health care.
- Provide culturally competent, age-appropriate, ethical care within legal standards.
- Coordinate patient care activities with healthcare professionals.
Schedule Notes: Start date is 11/12. This is a class date. 12-week engagement. Department is on AWS. DT after 12 hours per day, OT after 40 hours per week.
Skills: Effective communication skills for patient hand-offs, documentation per hospital policies, and utilization of information systems to improve efficiency. Accountable to meet or exceed unit and organizational goals and assist in resolving complaints.
Minimum Requirements:
- CA RN License
- AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum three years of acute care experience required
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing (Associate Degree or BSN accepted)
