Length: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
- OR License
- 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH
- Bachelors degree in nursing or related field preferred
- Two (2) years of recent ICU nursing experience preferred.
- CCRN preferred.
- Dialysis, SLED or equivalent preferred

The role of an ICU travel nurse includes providing care to the most acutely ill patients in the hospital. An ICU travel nurse might work in various specialized units such as burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU, or cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU). Aside from clinical care, travel ICU nurses need to deliver progress updates and support to patients and/or their families.
