About the Position:
The main duties of a licensed practical nurse (LPN) are to assess resident needs, develop an individualized care plan, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care, and supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care. LPNs follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies and maintain established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies/Procedures.
Qualifications/Responsibilities:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of employment or possess a valid compact license.
- Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
- Provide direct nursing care to the residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
- Accurately administer medication and treatment to residents per Physician orders, following all required protocols, policies, and regulations related to medication administration.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation on required charting, medication/treatment administration, incidents/accidents, Physician orders, admission/transfer/discharge, weights/vitals, etc.
- Must comply with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, as may be required by the Director of Nursing.
Shift & Wage:
- Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
- Shifts Needed: 6:30a-7p and 6:30p-7a
- SIGN-ON BONUS- $5,000.00, paid out quarterly
- Wage: Up to $35.00 per hour
- Shift differential for evenings & nights- $1.00/hr
