Emergency Veterinarian - Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program – Melbourne, FL
Animal Specialty & Emergency Center of Brevard is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team-oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position with our team!
Located just a few minutes from the beach, our innovative veterinary hospital offers specialty referral and 24-hour emergency care. Our team includes a board-certified Dentist, a board-eligible Surgeon (starting September), Emergency clinicians, a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist, and a well-established group of support staff. Our team is a tight-knit group that enjoys supporting each other in a cooperative and productive environment. Ideal candidates should be interested in Emergency Medicine and Surgery, and open to a schedule including overnights (after the mentorship period).
The facility includes MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, laparoscopy/thoracoscopy, electrodiagnostics, ventilatory support, physical therapy (underwater treadmill/acupuncture), and a full in-house laboratory. We have full surgical capabilities and our goal is to provide premiere diagnostics and therapeutics in a comfortable, compassionate environment.
The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.
Program Duration/Commitment
- 6-month training program with flexible/rolling start dates
- 1-year commitment as an ER clinician at ASEC following training
Program Highlights
