WORK SCHEDULE
PART-TIME; 80% FTE; 32 hours per week; Tuesday-Friday (8 hours per day) with rotating Sundays every 5th weekend

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Provides therapeutic recreational services to patients in the behavioral health units.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluates and plans comprehensive treatment programs, assess and provide discharge plans to meet the needs of patients.
- Communicates the role of TR on the treatment team.
- Communicates TR evaluation results and treatment plan to team members.
- Collaborates with supervisor to identify clinical or program needs.
- Participates in quality improvement programs.
- Team leadership.
- Ability to delegate tasks to volunteer or aide.
- Volunteer and aide supervision.
- Collaboration with nursing and medical staff.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from an accredited Therapeutic Recreation Program AND 18 months of professional therapeutic recreation experience OR equivalent education/experience.
- Current CTRS Certification from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
- Registered with the Washington State Department of Health as a Recreation Therapist.
