Job Description: Responsible for obtaining diagnostic quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations according to pre-established guidelines. Schedules and observes time-management techniques according to departmental productivity and efficiency standards while observing a quality patient care experience. The Lead provides leadership to the department/shift of a designated area. Uses the established principles of delegation and supervision to direct the activities of all licensed and non-licensed care givers and support staff in the delivery of patient care during their assigned shift. The Lead also assumes MRI Tech responsibilities and patient care during their shift. Graduate of a radiographer program. Will insure compliance with ACR.
Job Requirements: One (1) year of clinical MRI and/or Radiology Technology experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Licensure in Medical Radiation with the state of Mississippi is required. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology is required. Registration with the ARRT in MRI is strongly preferred. BLS Certification is required (or within 30 days of hire into the position).
