Job Summary

The Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training at the University of Utah is seeking an outstanding candidate for a 0.8 FTE pediatric physical therapy resident position to provide contract pediatric physical therapy services and assist with teaching. This job will have two primary roles: (1) Provide contract pediatric physical therapy services and (2) student instruction.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Previous experience in pediatric physical therapy is required.
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
Participate in the Utah Regional Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (URLEND) program, American Physical Therapy Association Pediatrics consortium, and UUPPTR didactics, scholarship, and service.
Ability to follow ethical guidelines outlined by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system, to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Utah, or obtain one within 90 days of hire under the Physical Therapy Compact.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
