Job Summary
The Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training at the University of Utah is seeking an outstanding candidate for a 0.8 FTE pediatric physical therapy resident position to provide contract pediatric physical therapy services and assist with teaching. This job will have two primary roles: (1) Provide contract pediatric physical therapy services and (2) student instruction.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Previous experience in pediatric physical therapy is required.
- Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
- Participate in the Utah Regional Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (URLEND) program, American Physical Therapy Association Pediatrics consortium, and UUPPTR didactics, scholarship, and service.
- Ability to follow ethical guidelines outlined by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system, to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Utah, or obtain one within 90 days of hire under the Physical Therapy Compact.
- This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
