Responsibilities
Various Positions Available
- Ability and willingness to rotate within the Radiology and CT departments as needed.
- May assist with training of Radiology and CT students.
- Performs a variety of related digital image management tasks as necessary.
- Maintains competency by demonstrating a complete working knowledge of all imaging equipment and supplies.
- Demonstrates proper positioning for all CT and Radiology exams, including invasive procedures.
- Provides radiation protection to patient, family, staff and self, according to prescribed safety standards.
- Recognizes emergency situations and initiates code procedures as needed.
- Performs patient assessment and screening within the scope of practice.
- Maintains aseptic or sterile technique when performing invasive procedures.
- Directly assists the Radiologist during procedures.
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the department.
- Completes all mandatory educational requirements in a timely manner.
- Accepts and completes all duties positively and without conflict.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of an approved course in Radiologic Technology, three years of experience conducting routine diagnostic procedures, and completion of an approved program in advanced modality or one year of experience in advanced modality. A bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology may substitute for up to one year of experience in conducting routine diagnostic procedures. Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Diagnostic Radiology is required. Advanced registry is highly preferred, and may be required for certain modalities.
