JOB DESCRIPTION for the NP, Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac
We are looking for a skilled NP, Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac to join our busy Cardiology Practice.
The NP, Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac duties include, but are not limited to performing physical exams on all patients, obtaining and documenting patients’ medical history. This position is responsible to diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, orders and interprets diagnostic testing, prescribe medications per state laws, and encourage positive health behaviors for maintenance of health and prevention of disease.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Education: Master's Degree in Nursing
Experience: Previous clinical experience in critical care nursing required.
Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required License and Certification for the NP, Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac: Licensed as an Advanced Practice RN in the state of Nevada (or able to obtain prior to employment). Must have American Heart Association certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Live Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), and Perioperative Nurse (CNOR).
