Patient Tech - Clinical Tech - Surgery
Night shift - 36 hours
The Johns Hopkins Hospital Surgical Inpatient / IMC Unit (Zayed 11 West) is a 32 bed surgical unit caring for adolescent and adult patients. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floor, telemetry, and 6 intermediate care beds. Care and services provided: Thoracic Surgery (lung resections, pneumonectomy, esophagectomy), Urology (RRP, TURP), and a variety of general surgery patients.
Shifts: Night Shifts
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification in Maryland is required
- 1 year of acute care (in-hospital) tech experience within the most recent 2 years is required (EMT or CRT experience may be considered)
- BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
Clinical Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as contributing members of the healthcare team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.
